VBC Mission Project

We will collect books to be shared with elementary children in the summer reading program at Springhill Apartments.

The program helps students retain and even improve their reading and English skills between school years. Most of the children speak Spanish at home and might not have the opportunity to speak or read English during the summer without this program. Each child will be given a few books to take home with them at the end of the program.

Books should be new or gently used - no torn pages, no writing or coloring on pages.  Books are needed that are appropriate for beginning readers, easy chapter books and longer chapter books, and that will interest boys and girls. No encyclopedias; no textbooks.
