Voyages move you beyond the basic knowledge and understanding of the biblical text and allow you to journey deeper in your faith experience. Examine the word and tackle difficult questions. Look beyond your own experience and consider the religious practice of others. Challenge yourself with the text and discussion with others.
Registration opens Aug 28. For classes with books, on-time registration ends ONE WEEK PRIOR to class start. Participants who register after that date will receive books as they are available.
Online registration and payment are preferred. Alternatively, registration forms may be turned in to church office.

Does scripture say God is okay with violence? Ever get the feeling that you can't ask these kinds of questions at church? Why not? Too often, for various reasons, people don't have the opportunity to ask the hard questions they have about faith, religion, salvation and the Bible. Dates: Sundays, Sept 11 – Nov 27 Text: Christianity & Islam Student Handbook, Qur'an Description: We will build on previous classes on Christianity and Islam to better understand the similarities and differences in view of the nature of God, the nature and role of Jesus and Muhammad, the Bible and Qur'an, creation, morality and holy living, rituals and traditions, end times and final judgment. Jesus to Christ: The Early ChristiansDates: Wednesdays, Sept 28 – Nov 16 Text: Bible, Curriculum Packet Description: Jesus, the itinerant Galilean Jewish preacher, challenges the Jerusalem Temple's ritualistic practices within the environment of Roman occupation. Come see who told his story through three turbulent centuries, who fashioned his message to the world beyond Judaism, how his life changed those who believed in him, and finally the Emperor of the Empire. Striking video views of the life of Jesus and of the Holy Land are presented by renowned, exciting Biblical scholars. Register and pay online HERE Journeying...to High PlateausDates: Sundays, Oct 9, 16 and 23 Text: none Description: Together we will take a look at three of the "High Plateaus" along the journey of faith. To what may we aspire? First journey with John Wesley to the high plateau of "spiritual perfection." Then two more journeys with pioneering developmental psychologists – one focused on reaching the high plateau of "moral maturity," the other on realizing an "encompassing faith."
