Welcome
The Genesis Sunday School Class is a group of engaged and married couples, in their 20's and 30's. Class lessons are varied in both topic and teaching style, with an emphasis on learning from each other through class discussions. Lesson content varies from the study of the Bible to contemporary Christian issues. If you are eager to establish your relationship based on biblical principles and find a circle of friends that will be mutually supportive in that endeavor, as you serve one another and the community, this class is for you!
Our Mission
Open Hearts The members of this class invite you to join us as we get to know each other through class studies, socials and mission projects.
Open Minds Lessons provoke class discussion and tie into everyday life.
Open Doors We are a growing Sunday school class, and invite you to join us as we grow in our faith.
Social Events
We love having fun together! We typically have Social Events once a month with events like:
- Games Nights
- Sporting Events
- Pool Parties
- White Elephant Gift Exchanges
- Wine Tastings
Mission Work
The Genesis class participates in a variety of mission work, and is very active in the community. We strive to do at least one project every three months. We continue to look for new ways to help the church and community. Some of our past and future projects include:
- Adopt a Family for Christmas
- Second Saturday Shoreline Spruce-Up (community service project to clean up White Rock Lake)
- Welcome Home A Hero (greeting troops as they arrive at DFW from overseas)
- Volunteering at an animal shelter
