Angela Angela has been a member of FUMCR for 5 years. "I had just moved back to Texas after living out of state for a while, and I was looking for new church. FUMCR was the first church that I attended, and I haven't looked back since! I attend and help facilitate the Single Purpose Sunday School class, and I volunteer with the Single Parent Action Network. The opportunity to meet so many great people and the overwhelming sense of giving back to the church are just a couple of the things that keep me coming back each week." |
The Robinson Family The Robinsons have been attending FUMCR for a year. "Many of our friends were already attending FUMCR when we decided to visit. It was such a wonderful feeling to have them stop us before or after services to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Each of us has found a place here. The children love learning and laughing with their friends in Sunday School." |
Glenn and Susie Glenn and Susie have been members of FUMCR for almost 25 years. "The incredible sermons of John Ogden are what first drew us in to FUMCR, and the youth program is what cemented our membership! We have been blessed to be part of so many groups in the church, such as, the Disciple Bible Study, Stephen Ministries and even the Finance Committee. Each has allowed us to grow in our faith, as well as, support others in their journeys." |

The Robbins Family Carrie has been a member of FUMCR for 32 years. "My parents were members of the church when I was born, and I have been a lifelong member. Some of my first memories of the church are craft time in Sunday School, helping my mom decorate for the Mother/Daughter Banquet, and the wonderful Christmas Eve services. From a young child, to a youth, to a college graduate, and now, as a wife and mother, I am amazed by the love and support I have continuted to receive from our friends and family within the church. FUMCR is my "anchor," and it is definately a place I feel at home." |
John John has been worshipping with FUMCR for almost 13 years. "I was a little overwhelmed with the size of the congregation when I first stepped through the sanctuary doors. I knew almost everyone's name at my previous church, and I thought - this is going to take a while! What was amazing, is that it didn't! FUMCR has blessed me with so many opportunities to serve Christ in the small ways that I can. I am continually inspired and encouraged by our great staff and the loving, caring people of our church." |
