The Right Start: New Member Orientation
Sometimes it just takes a little step to start your life moving in a new direction!

New members of First United Methodist Church of Richardson make a commitment to follow Christ's example of love for God and neighbor. Members agree to support Christ's church with their prayers, presence, gifts, service and witness.
We, the congregation, clergy and staff, take our responsibility to help you fulfill your membership vows seriously and we recognize that we are partners in this journey. New members reflect upon their own spiritual journey and learn about the opportunities that our church offers for maturing in the faith. In this class you will also familarize yourself with the mission of the church and how we, as a collective body of Christ, are striving to live out our mission statement in our congregation, in our local community and in the world.
You will take a little step and start moving your life in a new direction as you find ways to give of yourself through service in the life and community of FUMCR. This session is facilitated by Lay Leadership and Staff.
