Africa 2009
In the summer of 2009, Dr. Clayton Oliphint and other representatives from the North Texas Annual Conference travelled to Africa for the dedication of a new health center at Africa University. This is what Dr. Oliphint had to say:
Africa was amazing! We really had three different experiences: 1) Africa University in Zimbabwe-the dedication of the new health center and scholarships was an amazing spiritual high, and visiting an orphanage touched my heart. Our church played a major part in helping realize the dream of this new health center. I look forward to sharing more about this with you; 2) Victoria Falls and Botswana-the beauty of the falls, and up close and personal with elephants, hippos, crocodiles, impala, wart hogs, monkeys, and a leopard; 3) South Africa-a short stay in Johannesburg with a trip to Soweto, Nelson Mandela's house, and the Apartheid Museum.
No doubt you will hear much more about some of my experiences in upcoming sermons.
