Rodney has been married to his best friend and adventure partner, Allison D'Auteuil, for thirteen years. They have three beautiful children. Their two living children are Grace (4) and Justice (3). Their third child Mercy Elizabeth was born in September 2011 and lived for 13 days. She was born with a rare genetic disorder called Trisomy 13. All three of their children continue to teach them lessons in humility, joy, faith, and love.
Rodney is an Arkansas Native and the son of a United Methodist Pastor. Rodney attended Hendrix College where he met Allison. He later attended SMU Perkins School of Theology in Dallas, Texas. Prior to joining the FUMCR staff, Rodney served at Lakeside UMC in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Vista Ridge UMC in Lewisville, Texas and at the North Texas Annual Conference as Program Coordinator for C2K.
Being transplants to Texas, Allison and Rodney found great support and friendship with those they have met along the journey. Sharing the journey has had a profound effect on their life and marriage. Another life lesson Rodney has learned on the journey is the need to have balance between work, family and play.
In his time away from pastoring, Rodney can be found playing soccer, listening to music, water skiing, biking, sharing adventures with his family and relaxing with a good book, movie or favorite TV show.
