Tommy is FUMCR's Director of Student Ministries - everything Youth!
As a missionary kid, Tommy grew up in Lodja, Zaire, Africa. He went to University of Texas, El Paso, and then SMU, Perkins School of Theology. He has been a youth pastor for over 20 years, "which makes me about 185 years old in youth pastor years," he laughs.
"Give me a roll of duct tape, a gold fish and a nerf football and we have a party! I have the best job in the world, I get to go to movies, play sports, hang out with young people and talk about Jesus! What could be better???"

His favorite foods are of the international varity: Zairian, Ethiopian, Indian, Vietnamese, and anything else weird. Evenflow by Pearl Jam is his favorite song. His favorite movies include Fifth Element, Ponnette, and The Lord of the Rings. Favorite Books are Plato's The Republic and The Stranger. His favorite sports are surfing, kiteboarding, and mountainbiking, and when he's not participating in one of those, or working, he might be watching Spartacus or Man vs. Wild on TV.
