Jimmie currently serves as Associate Pastor for Caring Ministries. 

Originally from Ft. Worth, TX, Jimmie attended Texas Wesleyan College and Texas Christian University.  Before coming to FUMCR, Jimmie served in several other churches, including Lakewood, Brandon, West Shore, Cross Plains, and Central at Mineral Wells.  He joined the FUMCR staff in 1997 as Welcoming Minister, in which he contacted visitors, helped them get to know the church, and eventually introduced many to the congregation as new members.  His focus switched in 2006 to Caring Ministries and nursing home visits, where he is a friendly face to many.  Jimmie's favorite thing about FUMCR is the friendly people.  He says this is a fantastic place to work for God! 

Jimmie's family includes his wife, Mary Frances, two daughters, 6 grandchildren, and five (and counting!) great-grandchildren.  Jimmie loves to play bridge and other games.  He also enjoys spending time on model trains and riding steam trains.  

Jimmie's favorite scripture is: Micah 6:8.

"He has told you, O mortal, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?"

His favorite song is "Ghost Riders in the Sky," and his favorite movie is Shane.  Favorite book include Silver Chief, Dog of the North by Jack O'Brien.  Jimmie always roots for the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers.  His favorite TV show is NCIS.
