Kristen is the Inviting & Involving Associate for Welcoming Ministries, where she helps guests and new members each week as they learn more about the great people and inspiring growth at FUMCR.
After growing up in Richardson and graduating from J.J. Pearce High School, Kristen attended Texas Tech University and then University of Colorado, where she received a master's degree in Communication Studies. After moving back to the Dallas area in 2008, she and her family joined FUMCR and was excited to join the staff in 2010. Kristen's heart fills with pride each time she hears how welcoming our church is to guests and those visiting for the first time. The volunteers that pour out smiles, handshakes, open doors and warm greetings are just part of what makes guests come back. Volunteering in her children's schools has taken much of Kristen's "hobby time" over the past few years. Kristen enjoys working out, reading, playing spades and spending time with her husband, Ken, and their 3 children, Natasha, Nico and Brooklyn.
One of her favorite scriptures is Proverbs 3:5 (NKJV).
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths."
