Marilyn serves as Associate Pastor for Caring Ministries, and specifically the Stephen Ministry program.
She comes from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Marilyn attended University of Alberta, Edmonton (BS), University of New England, Australia (B. Ed.) and SMU (M. Divinity). Before joining the FUMCR staff, she served at Northway Christian Church, Dallas; First Christian Church, Denton; and First Christian Church, Grand Prairie. Marilyn's favorite things about FUMCR are the incredible staff and the amazing laity that backs us up. In her spare time she enjoys quilting and more quilting.
Some of Marilyn's favorite scriptures are Psalm 139 and Psalm 91, which begins:
"You who live in the shelter of the Most High,
who abide in the shadow of the Almighty,*
will say to the Lord, 'My refuge and my fortress;

Her favorite movie is Three Came Home. She loves oyster nachos from Fish City. The Russ Van Alystne / Clare Fergusson series are favorite books. Her favorite TV show is Survivor, and her favorite team is the Dallas Cowboys.
