Stained Glass Windows

Service of Dedication May 27, 2007

Worker installing a window

The 11:00am worship service on May 27, 2007, was a service of dedication for the windows, the last of which were installed during the preceding week.

Twenty-four stained glass windows in the Sanctuary Complex were designed by Dallas artist Pamela Nelson. Foster Stained Glass in Bryan, Texas, executed the designs. Seven rose windows in the Sanctuary represent the seven days of creation. An eighth rose window in the Shawver Welcome Center represents eternity. The sanctuary also has sixteen arched windows that feature abstract medallions suggesting features of the natural world such as flowers, stars and water.
