Girls Get Fit

Girls Get Fit is a six-week exercise program for girls (ages 6-12) of all fitness levels.  The program is directed by Jessie Dorsey, a Cooper Institute/YMCA certified Personal Trainer specializing in child and teen fitness.  The program consists of six unique exercise classes that incorporate a wide variety of exercises as well as nutritional counseling.

Dates (All classes run from 6:00-7:00pm)
  • March 6 (FLC room 2F)
  • March 13 (FLC room 2F)
  • March 27 (Gym)
  • April 3 (Gym)
  • April 17 (Gym)
  • April 24 (Gym)

Girls will participate in:

  • Yoga
  • Self-Defense
  • Hip Hop
  • Circuit Training

At the end of the six-week program each girl will have a better sense of commitment and teamwork, increased self-esteem, an understanding of how to set and achieve a fitness goal and improved physical and mental fitness. 

How Do I Register?

The cost of the class is $55.  To register fill out the registration form and medical release form and return them along with $55 to Kevin McGill in the Family Life Ministries Office or in Kevin's box in the main office.  If mailed, please put attention to Kevin McGill.  Checks can be made payable to FUMCR.
