Adult Workcamps
Each summer adult workcamps combine travel, fellowship and construction skills to reach out to those individuals or agencies in need of a helping hand.
Teams utilize persons who have handyman or construction skills, good helpers, and those willing to do whatever tasks need to be done. Recently construction teams have been to New Orleans, Gulfport, and Galveston to help with hurricane recovery, and to Greensburg, Kansas to rebuild from tornado destruction. Through the years other teams have been to Mexico, Alaska, Bolivia, North and South Dakota, South Carolina, Tennessee, Cuba, and many other sites. Mission teams have also gone to the UMCOR Sager Brown Depot in Baldwin, La. to sort and pack emergency supplies that are shipped to areas all over the world impacted by war or natural disasters.
Check the main missions page and other church publications for announcements about upcoming workcamp and mission trips.
