Adult Workcamps

Each summer adult workcamps combine travel, fellowship and construction skills to reach out to those individuals or agencies in need of a helping hand. Teams utilize persons who have handyman or construction skills, good helpers and those willing to do whatever tasks wait to be done. The construction teams go out of the Dallas area to such places as the Alamo Navajo Reservation, N.M. in 2004, Brewton, Alabama to do hurricane repair in 2005. Other teams have been to Mexico, Alaska, Bolivia, North and South Dakota, South Caroline, Tennessee, Cuba, and many other sites. A mission team also goes to the UMCOR Sager Brown (Baldwin, La.) Depot to sort and pack emergency supplies that are shipped to areas all over the world impacted by war or natural disasters.
