Cookie Caper

cookie caper marching cookiesThe annual Cookie Caper raises money for various mission projects sponsored by the Mission Work Area, such as adult workcamps, refugee ministries, and Amigos Days. Volunteers in the congregation are asked to bake 6 dozen homemade cookies and to bring them to the church on the Saturday prior to the Sunday event. The Mission Work Area then combines all the cookies on tables and on Sunday morning the congregation is invited to come, purchase a container, and circle the tables laden with homemade cookies, filling their container. Often there are an estimated 1200 dozen cookies of all varities to be sold. This is a great fellowship event and a fun way to raise money for missions.
