MAKE A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE BY SHOPPING AT THE MARKET

2007 Christmas MarketThe International Christmas Market (formerly "Mission Market"), is an alternative Christmas market  providing gift-giving opportunities that support a variety of life-giving local, national and international programs and ministries.  Shares are purchased that benefit such organizations as Heifer Project International, Habitat for Humanity, Body and Soul, Maua Hospital (Kenya) Medical shares, Ark House, UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief), workcamps and others. The 2006 Market  featured 12 different shares, including four new shares that were not offered before.  They were layette baby items for Parkland learning about missions while shoppingHospital, Medicine Box, PET Vehicles, and Horni Pocernice UMC and Center in Prague, Czech Republic.  All of the money from the sale of shares goes directly to those agencies or programs.  Give a share to someone on your Christmas shopping list and honor them in a special way this year.  Gift cards are available with each share.

There are hundreds of beautiful crafts from third world artisans and the Holy Land for sale.  These items are made by crafts people in small co-ops and villages in countries world-wide.  The money raised from the sale of these crafts goes to the artisans to enable them to make a fair living wage to support themselves and their families.

Bean soup mix and gift packages, as well as chili mixes will be for sale.  These make great teacher, Sunday School teacher, neighbor, and co-worker gifts.

The International Christmas Market is a unique opportunity to remember loved ones and friends at Christmas.  By shopping at the Market you give a gift that keeps on giving long after Christmas is over.
