Children's Choirs

Children’s choirs resume Jan 8!  All are welcome!
All kindergarteners - 6th graders are welcome in vocal choirs, which meet from 4:00-5:00
Handbell choirs are open to 2nd - 6th graders and meet from 5:00-5:45.

Music_Children_103011.jpgAt children's choir at FUMCR we strive to answer YES to these specific questions every week:

  • Did we feel the presence of God?
  • Did we make a joyful noise?
  • Did we have fun?

Children's choirs are for those in Kindergarten through 6th grade.

Vocal Choirs

  • Joyful Noise Choir (Kindergarten - 1st grade), directed by Tracy Juarez
  • Hosannah Choir (2nd - 3rd grades), directed by Linda Armstong
  • Rejoice Choir (4th - 6th grades), directed by Kimber Mowery

Music_Children_Christmas10.JPGChoirs meet September – April and rehearse every Sunday afternoon, 4:00 – 5:00, in rooms 221, 224 and 226 in the Education Center. Children will have the opportunity to sing for church worship services, Thanksgiving service, Palm Sunday services and a special Christmas Musical in December. All children are welcome in rehearsals at any time.

For additional information or if you would like to join, please contact Kim O'Neil, Children's Choir Coordinator, at 972-996-0108.

Music Makers

MMakers11-17.jpgMusic Makers is a very special summer music camp designed to provide a positive Christian musical experience for all children entering grades 2- 7. The camp is an intense week of choral singing, culminating in the performance of a children's musical. Come and join us in this wonderful week of music, drama, movement, set building and performance.
