Chart of 2008 International Christmas Market proceeds

During the months of November and December of 2007 FUMCR gave $114,877 to mission programs and agencies. This was as a result of the International Christmas Market and the special Advent/Christmas offering. This was over and above the Outreach budget for 2007. In addition to these funds, 860 totebags were filled by the congregation (estimated cost of each is $40) and distributed to Dallas area homeless men and women. The 2008 special Lenten/Easter offering for Africa University was $23,622.10.

FUMCR is a giving church and one that has a heart for mission. With this Capital Funds Campaign, money could be made available that would enable us to expand our outreach budget and make a greater difference in lives of people in need of a helping hand. God calls us to go into the world to serve and make disciples. As Christians we hear this mandate and should respond to the call to be God’s love in action.
