Friendship Opportunities

Coffee & Conversation

Coffee & Conversation is an informal way to meet congregation members and staff.  It is a casual opportunity for guests to come forward and ask questions, register to receive additional information, and find out about the many ministries of FUMCR. Coffee &Conversation is offered the second Sunday of the month in the Shawver Welcome Center from 9:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m..

The First Look: Newcomer Information Class

Brought to you in a classroom setting, this information session will provide guests deeper insight into the heart of FUMCR. Presented by a team of congregation members, each with a unique perspective, guests will hear personal stories that will introduce you to the history, the life, the mission, the clergy, and the organization of the church. Guest will gain insight into how they might begin to connect and see a future for themselves in community at FUMCR. Guests may also register to receive additional information about the ministries of the church. The session concludes with a guided walking tour of the church campus.  The First Look: Newcomer Information Class is offered the third Sunday of the month in room 203 of the Education Center at 11:00 a.m..

Friendship Appointment

Make a Friendship Appointment and be greeted in person by a staff member of FUMCR.  Appointments can be scheduled for Sunday mornings at 8:30 a.m, 9:00 a.m., 9:30 a.m., 10:00 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 11:00 a.m., and 11:30 a.m.. Appointments can also be made Monday through Friday.  Please contact Welcoming Ministry Associate, Elizabeth Wilson and start your relationship at FUMCR with a new friend.
