...now in its 27th year, offers diverse programs , support groups , plus resource and referral services . The center is an all-volunteer, nonprofit, non-denominational organization open to women of all ages in the surrounding community.

Programs - Wednesday Morning

Programs Of Interest and Inspiration are offered each Wednesday morning and are open to the community without charge, membership or reservation. Wednesday Morning begins with coffee at 9:30. The program starts at 10:00.

Wednesday, April 8

Tammy Taylor is Director of Hope's Door, a shelter for abused women in Plano.  We will learn about the services offered, the facility and how the organization operates.

 

Wednesday, April 15

Come take a field trip to the Dallas Arboretum.  We will meet at 9:30 a.m. at the Woman's Center to ride the FUMCR bus to the Arboretum.  After touring the gardens we will have lunch at the Cafe.  Bring money for entrance and lunch.

 

Wednesday, April 22

Barbara Montgomery was a research historian for 52 years.  Her program is titles "Women Are Short-changed by History."  Included in her captivating narrative is the story of Dr. Mary Walker, a civil war nurse and the only female to win the Congressional Medal of Honor.
