Student Ministry Intern Posting
First UMC Richardson is seeking an undergraduate or graduate student who is called to ministry and wants to learn more about serving in a church to serve as a Student Ministries Intern from August 2016-August 2017 (an intern can reapply annually for up to three years). We are a large church serving over 6000 members and are committed to living out our mission: with open hearts and minds, we welcome people for Christ, grow people in Christ, and serve people with Christ. The Student Ministry Internship is for a year and begins in mid-August. Internships have the possibility of being renewed for the next academic year through a reapplication process. Interns are hired to help carry out our church's mission through building relationships with youth, as well as assisting with running trips, activities, and providing spiritual development . The position will provide leadership development and direct experience with planning, programming, teaching, and leading in ministry.
In addition to the responsibilities listed above, opportunities to learn more about and work with other ministries in the church are available, if interested.
