Saturdays, March 26 - June 11

Adult volunteers of all skill levels are needed to help build the 44th Richardson Area Interfaith Habitat house for a family in need this spring. Youth who are 16 and older are welcome to serve with an adult. 
 
Build days are scheduled for Saturdays (excluding Easter and Memorial Day) from March 26 - June 11 at 2807 Macon, Dallas, TX 75215.
 
Meet at FUMCR at 7:30 am near the Walk With Me Garden to ride in a church bus down to the build. Lunch and drinks are provided. You are welcome to bring your own tool belt along with the standard tools, hammer, square, tape measure, pencils, a prybar and a chalk line. Dallas Habitat for Humanity provides tools and will have everything you need if you do not have your own. The bus usually returns between 3:30 and 4 pm. 
 
Registration information: 
Please use the Volunteer Portal to create an account and submit your background check. Once your background check is complete, you will receive an email to log in and register for your volunteer shift.
If you have already created an account and background check, simply login using your credentials.
All volunteers must be registered in our Volunteer Portal prior to volunteering.
 
1. Click “reserved events” at the top of the Volunteer Portal
2. Select “group,” enter your reservation code (RAIH2022) and click “next” to view available shifts
 
Volunteer Schedule 
7:45 am – check-in
8 am – safety speech
11:15 am – 11:45 am – sometime between 11am and 12pm, break for 30-minute lunch. Lunch is provided. 
3 pm –  end of work day
 
Masks are optional for vaccinated volunteers.
