Therefore, since we are justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have obtained access to this grace in which we stand… - Romans 5: 1-2

Modern Worship . . .

Sundays  •  11 am  •  Worship & Arts Center

Welcome to Access! We are a community that believes everyone has access to God's grace, and we're really glad you've found us!

The Access community exists to connect people to each other and to God for the sake of our community. Our school partnerships are a great example of how we do this and something that makes Access kind of unique.

We’re also a little unique in how we worship God. At any given worship service, in addition to elements common to many churches like sound Biblical preaching and great modern Christian music, you might also find yourself assembling gift bags for homeless persons or texting questions for a live Q&A after our sermon. We try to infuse Access worship with participatory and occasionally unexpected elements.

Finally, you should know that we’re a bit of a mess. When you hear Rich or Julie preach, they’re going to tell you about how they’ve failed to be the people God wants them to be and how they have doubts and questions about God. When our congregation members text prayer requests for us to read during worship, you’ll learn about messiness in relationships, addictions, finances, spiritual lives, and more. We’ve discovered that when we’re open about our messy lives it’s more difficult to be preachy and judgmental, and we think that’s a good thing.

Please explore our website and come visit us soon. We look forward to meeting you!

  • New to Access?
    New to Access?

How does Access fit in to FUMCR?

While Access modern worshipers feel a sense of community all their own, they are also an important part of the church at-large. Ministries that are especially near and dear to the Access community include Group Life and School Partnerships.

    What makes Access so special?

We recognize that everyone is perfectly imperfect.

We all fall short of being perfect and all of us have sinned. What matters is that we are making an effort to try and be the person that God wants us to be and to help others achieve it as well. No matter what you have done, no matter who you are, no matter how rejected and alone you feel, you are given access to God's grace because of what Jesus did for you and we are here to support you.

Our services are very focused on musical worship.

Our band is a large part of our worship and we enjoy connecting to modern Christian music to give God praise.

    We are very interactive.

At Access, we tend to do things differently. Sometimes, we will have typical modern worship and sermons. Sometimes, we may have interactive stations that allow us to connect personally to God through our actions. Sometimes, we may work on a community service project during Access fulfilling our mission of serving others. We like to keep it diverse and if you are a tactile learner, you probably will enjoy when we have some of these services!

    We are a family.

Whether you have never visited us, visited us only once, visit occasionally or visit all the time, we consider everyone family. We are hear to support you wherever you are on the spiritual journey and we aren't here to judge you.

We don't preach at you, we give you the spiritual tools to support you.

Many who enjoy our services like that we use personal stories or real-life situations in our sermons and also focus on giving ideas of how to approach challenging life situations by using biblical passages, their context, and how they relate to us now in the present day. We emphasize that everyone has their own personal journey and you are free to make your own decisions on what path you would like to choose. We try to help with providing you the different options to think about and support you in your own journey!

We embrace the come as you are atmosphere.

Access has an informal, come-as-you-are atmosphere. It's a place where we are reminded that through Jesus Christ we have access to God's grace, an unconditional love that knows no bounds. You'll find a place where all are accepted for who we are and yet challenged to live into the fullness of who God calls us to be.
