Purpose...

The purpose of the library is to provide books and materials that will help the members and guests of the church grow in their Christian faith.  The library is also a resource center to meet the needs of specific groups such as Sunday school teachers, adult classes, United Methodist Women, Stephen Ministry group, weekday teachers, the children and youth work areas, and special study groups.

When You Borrow a Book

You will be asked to fill out a patron card with your name, address and telephone number before using the Resource Library.  When your name is in the computer, resources will be available to you.  You will receive a library card with your patron number on it.

Books may be borrowed for three weeks and renewed on request.  To renew, you may call in the barcode number of the books.  Seven day books are an exception.

Audio-Visuals, tapes, CD's or DVD's all are bar coded and may be checked out for one week.

UMW Magazines and Sunday School Pamphlets may be taken out for a week by signing a card which will be kept in a special file box.  These materials do not have a bar code.

Patrons are not charged for overdue books but donations are accepted.  Patrons are responsible for damaged or lost books.  Reference materials are to be used only in the library.

Volunteers Staff our Library

A staff of volunteers is ready to assist you in the use of the many materials found in the library.  The volunteers assist at the circulation desk, work at the computer, process new books, mend and repair books, send out overdue notices,  make bulletin board and book displays, and report library news in church publications.

The library is always in need of helpers.  If you would like to serve as a volunteer, please contact the library at 972-996-0143!
