It will soon be the beginning or a new year. Are you ready to expand your minds, reach down and find your creative spirit and learn something new and exciting?? Well, have we got a deal for you!
Have you always wanted to learn to crochet or knit or maybe make a piece of jewelry? How about learn conversational Spanish? Maybe try Zumba, Tia Chi or learn to line dance? Does your golf game need a tweak here or there? Maybe you would just like to spend one afternoon a month playing 42, Chicken Foot, Mexican Train, or learn a new card game like Hand and Foot. If any of these sound interesting to you, then you won’t want to miss this exciting new opportunity sponsored by the Senior Adult Ministry for 2013, Adventures in Creative Learning.
Mark your calendars now for our first event on February 25. The session, A Mini Medicare Workshop, will be in the Chapel from 9:30-12:00. There is no charge but due to limited seating, you must make a reservation. You may make your reservation by calling the church after January 2nd.
Sylvia Garcia from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services will be with us to talk about the changes we can expect for 2013. Sylvia is an exceptional speaker. She was our keynote speaker at the 2011 Medicare Workshop. There will be time for questions and answers.
More information about Adventures in Creative Learning will be available at the January Gathering and in the next Gazette. Some of the classes will be small in size but they all will be huge in content. Some will have a minimal fee. 2013 promises to be a year of new opportunities and expectations. We hope you will plan to be part of this exciting new program.
