The following groups and committees reflect FUMCR's commitment to living out our values of compassion, humility, respect, inclusion, service, and teamwork while embodying the principles and beliefs of the United Methodist tradition. Through these ministries, we seek to love God, serve others, pursue justice, and make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. We invite you to explore each group, attend a meeting or two, and discover where your gifts and interests can best be used to make a meaningful impact locally, regionally, domestically, and/or internationally.

Mission Work Area
Join a team that brings faith into action through hands-on service and meaningful partnerships by planning mission activities and trips as well as organizing fundraising efforts that support those experiences. Through covenant relationships with United Methodist missionaries and other partners, we join a connectional ministry that shares Christ's love, builds relationship, and transforms lives.
Church & Sociey
If you feel called to engage with issues that shape our world, this group offers a place to learn, grow, and take action. Together, members explore important social concerns, share resources, and motivate and equip our church community to pursue justice, compassion, and positive change in society.
Green Team
Born out of Church & Society, the Green Team invites you to turn your interest in creation care into purpose through worship, education, practice, and advocacy.
Garden Ministry
Come grow something meaningful in the garden and in the community. Volunteers of all skill levels are welcome to help cultivate fresh, organic vegetables in our raised beds, which are shared with those in need through Network of Community Ministries throughout the year. From planting seeds in the greenhouse to preparing for our annual plant sales, there's a place for everyone to dig in and serve.
Neighbors in Need
The Neighbors in Need Ministry offers short-term financial assistance to individuals and families facing temporary crises, helping cover essential needs like rent, utilities, and medical expenses. Through the generosity of our church community, this fund becomes a tangible expression of care and compassion for our neighbors.

"Children First" School Partnerships
Make a lasting impact in the lives of local students and educators through our partnerships with Mark Twain Elementary and Dover Elementary Schools. This ministry offers meaningful opportunities, year-round, to encourage, support, and invest in children in Richardson ISD, helping them to thrive and feel valued every step of the way.
Ark House
This all-volunteer organization offers hope and hospitality during life's most challenging moments. Ark House provides temporary, low cost housing to seriously ill patients and their families traveling to Dallas for medical care. By supporting this ministry, you help create a welcoming space where people can find rest, comfort, and the presence of a caring community.
