Our group welcomes women of all ages and stages. We encourage one another through babies, jobs, losses, hardships, joys and 'God moments!' We laugh a lot and enjoy 'doing life together' through service projects, movies and dinners together. We grow in our faith journey by selecting a different topic, book or DVD series to discuss each semester. This Winter, we'll be exploring methods to study the Bible. This will be a fun, approachable, and low-study commitment. Come join us!

The focus of this group is to expose parents to the curriculum the students are learning, understand the Confirmation process, learn more about FUMCR, and discuss how to support and guide 6th graders at this point in their faith journey.

Most current members have middle/junior high school students, but the class welcomes all parents. Sunday mornings may be youth curriculum, topical discussions infused with biblical application, or simply praying for one another over our joys and concerns. Middle Ground meets during the school year only, beginning on the Sunday after Labor Day through the Sunday before Memorial Day.

Enneagram "Concentrates" is designed with the person in mind who is ready and able to do excavation and deeper work that takes them beyond knowing their Enneagram number. This course will provide the space and tools for self-reflection and personal assessment.  While it may not be easy work, discoveries can lead to personal and spiritual growth that leads to change and richer lives. Open to all who have taken an introductory Enneagram course.

$100 fee for materials and facilitation.

Thrive In Your Marriage is a workshop led by Dr. Terry Parsons, a marriage and family psychotherapist and ordained minister, along with his facilitators for couples at any stage of their relationship, from engagement to golden anniversary and beyond. This workshop will help you to: grow in your marriage and closeness with God; emotionally connect with your spouse; learn to positively resolve differences and conflicts; and improve intimacy.

This experiential course utilizes the Enneagram, an ancient tool from centuries of Judeo-Christian faith and scholarship used for cultivating self-awareness, growth and personal transformation. Insights from this course can answer life-long questions about our behavior and unconscious motivations. The Women’s Bible Study this semester will meet for 8 weeks and will engage in Covenant Bible Study together. Covenant is an in-depth group Bible study in which participants read and discuss the Bible together, learning how to love God—and each other—better. The study focuses on relationships with God, with each other, and with the world.

Using Philip Yancey’s DVD “Prayer: Does it Make Any Difference” as a starting point, this class, led by Rev. Mary Howard, will cover some of the issues surrounding prayer. DISCIPLE is a program of discipline Bible study aimed at developing strong Christian leaders. Study the entire Bible through personal and group study over the course of 34 weeks. No prior Bible study experience is necessary. A good study Bible, such as the New Interpreters Study Bible, is recommended.

Rev. Mary Howard will facilitate the group using the lectio divina method for small groups. We will pray various scriptures and even some spiritual classics. Don’t worry if you don’t know what lectio divina means. You will be guided. Instead of focusing on facts and background information, we will be seeking to hear God speaking to us through the scriptures.

A long term commitment is not required. You may participate as your schedule permits.
