These three words shape who we are. Music has a unique way of drawing us closer to God and to one another. We welcome all who feel called to make music, grow together as disciples and musicians, and serve our congregation by leading worship that inspires hearts and glorifies God. Through rehearsals, fellowship, and meaningful service, we seek to build community. Every voice and every instrument has a part to play in telling God's story. Whether you're a lifelong musician or taking your first step, we'd love to have you join us.

Chancel Choir

The Chancel Choir is a vibrant community of adults ages 18 and up who share a passion for worship, music, and fellowship. We lead worship each Sunday morning, offering music that inspires the congregation and glorifies God. Throughout the year, we also present special services and concerts that enrich the life of our church and community. While we strive for musical excellence, our greatest purpose is to grow in faith, encourage one another, and serve Christ through the gift of music. Beyond rehearsals and performances, we enjoy meaningful friendships through social gatherings, celebrations, and shared experiences that make our choir feel like family. You have a place in the Chancel Choir.

The Journey Youth Choir

REGISTER for 2026-27

All youth in 7th-12th grades are invited to deepen their faith and worship experience while leading the congregation in music most Sunday mornings. Each spring, we put on a fantastic musical revue called Dessert Theater, showcasing the amazing talents of our fabulous youth. Do you play an instrument or sing in choir at school? We'd love to have you be a part of our music family! Our youth choir members have incredible opportunities for fellowship, mission, and ministry throughout the year and on our summer tour.

Modern Worship Choir

REGISTER for 2026-27

This energetic group, high school age and adults, loves to sing and worship. We lead worship once a month and sing contemporary Christian songs with our amazing band members. Through the music we offer, our hope is to always encourage congregation participation, create moments where all can truly encounter the Holy Spirit, and grow in our faith and love of Christ. We love to gather together at various social events and serving opportunities throughout the year. Come be a part of this wonderful group. We always have room for one more!

Children's Choirs

REGISTER for 2026-27

Children’s Choir provides musical activities that help children grow in faith in fun, encouraging environments. Children in kindergarten - 6th grade have opportunities to sing in worship and perform Christmas and spring musicals, instilling lifelong comfort with worship participation and leadership.

FUMCR Orchestra

One of our newer ensembles at FUMCR is our Orchestra, comprised of 8th graders to adults. We’re excited to be presenting orchestral music in worship on a more regular basis! Whether you play a woodwind, brass, string, or percussion instrument, you’re more than welcome to audition with a short, prepared excerpt and some sight reading. The FUMCR Orchestra will be playing in worship throughout the fall and spring.

Our handbell ensembles lead in worship a few times each semester and have outreach opportunities in the community. No previous handbell experience is required, just a willingness to learn and a love of music. We also have social events throughout the year for fun and fellowship. Come be a part of one of these amazing groups of ringers!

Ukulele Choir

Ukulele Choir is a fun way for 5th graders to adults to get started playing a musical instrument! Even if you have no musical experience, you’re welcome to join us. We’ll teach you how to play this exciting and joyous instrument.
