Creation Care Fair
Sun, Sept 22, 9:30am–12:30pm, Concourse
Free and open to all, the fair explores the opportunities of electricity and our response as stewards called by God to protect creation. Exhibits will show ways we get and use electricity while also protecting our air, water and future, with activities for every age including children.
Exhibitors include North Texas Electric Auto Association, Dallas Sierra Club, North Texas Renewable Energy Group, and Green Careers Texas. Visitors can learn how to read their electric bills, how to reduce their consumption of electricity, how solar panels work, and what other churches are doing.
There will also be an opportunity to recycle crayons. Crayons are made of paraffin wax, a petroleum by-product, that is not biodegradable. You are encouraged to bring old, broken or unused crayons to our collection box, so that they can be recycled and turned into new fun-shaped crayons through the National Crayon Recycle Program.
