UWF Christmas Celebration

All women and their families are invited to this Christmas celebration, Sounds of Christmas! 

The evening will feature a delicious pot luck dinner, mission award presentations, installation of officers, and a delightful presentation by Dr. Victor (Vic) Casad.  

Vic is a retired elder in the United Methodist Church. He retired from the active ministry in 2021 after 38 years in the North Texas Conference. Vic holds an Master of Divinity degree from Candler School of Theology at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Perkins School of Theology. 

Throughout his ministry in the North Texas Conference, he and his wife, Mary Brooke, served several churches in the conference, including Valley View UMC, Farmersville UMC, Aldersgate UMC, Christ UMC, and Stonebridge UMC. His last appointment was as District Superintendent of the East District of the NTC. Vic is currently serving as interim pastor of Northgate UMC in Irving.

The Casads, who now live in Richardson, have two adult sons and three grandchildren.

Vic’s musical life began in junior high school, and while in high school he sang in various folk groups, playing guitar and banjo. He has toured with the USO to Vietnam and the Caribbean, performed on the Mike Douglas Show, and was on Ted Mack’s Original Amateur Hour. He was also a featured performer at Astro World in Houston and Country Dinner Playhouse in Dallas.
