Sunday School
Sunday School
9:45 am every Sunday
Sunday school plays a vital role in helping to build a solid foundation for the faith journey of our 7th-12th graders. We gather first as a large group in our worship space, then divide into high school and junior high classes
Confirmation
Seventh graders learn the fundamentals of the Christian faith and United Methodist history with the goal of growing more like Christ, loving God and our neighbor in all that we do. Mission opportunities, church visits, and a late-night event allow the group to have fun and serve together. Contact Melanie Jackson for more information. MJackson@fumcr.com -
UMYF
United Methodist Youth Fellowship
7th-12th grades
5:15- 7 pm, Most Sundays - Youth Worship SpaceUMYF is a great time to come together as a group to play, sing, learn, and pray together. Snack Supper is served at each UMYF gathering.
Youth gather at FUMCR for fellowship, worship, and to participate in open and honest discussions about teenage life, pressures, and culture. Our youth group is a place where youth can come, just as they are, and discover together how awesome our God is! -
SLT
Student Leadership Team
The Student Leadership Team (SLT) is the youth leadership core at First UMC Richardson. Representatives from each grade serve as the sounding board for the youth group providing feedback and ideas to the youth staff and adults. SLT members are key leaders in their Sunday school classes, during UMYF, and on trips.
Meetings occur monthly during the school year.
To participate in SLT, students must attend the first meeting, as well as commit to missing no more than one meeting for the year and serving as a leader in the youth group. -
