All Youth Summer Mission Trip
June 19-26, McAllen, TX
Mark your calendars! Next summer, all current 7th–12th grade students will head to McAllen, Texas, for one combined mission trip. Bringing junior high and high school together is a change from our usual format, but we're excited for the opportunity to focus our energy and volunteers on one fantastic trip, encourage leadership and mentorship between older and younger students, and build relationships across our student and adult community.
McAllen is a border town in South Texas where we'll participate in meaningful ministry including construction, disaster relief, and cross-cultural ministry like VBC. While McAllen is a community with significant needs, it's also consistently recognized as one of the safest cities in America. We're especially excited to continue building FUMCR's existing partnership with a Methodist church in McAllen while serving this community.
Students: $600 per student. Space is limited to 100 students, an absolute cap. Last year, 86 students participated across two trips, so we encourage you to register early to guarantee your spot. Deposits are refundable through Jan 31.
Adults: We'll need approximately 30 volunteers. A $50 deposit secures your spot and the rest of the trip is free.
We're looking forward to a special week of serving together and hope you'll join us in making a difference in McAllen.
