We Read Together
FUMCR members are invited to read with elementary students in need of additional reading support at our partner schools, Mark Twain and Greenwood Hills Elementary Schools. Training and materials are provided. You can read on campus for a morning or afternoon and commit to regularly serving as your schedule permits.
• Training will be the weeks of October 10 and 17 (online and in person). Those who completed training in the fall do not have to attend.
• The program will begin the week of October 24 and run for 6 weeks (excluding week of Thanksgiving)
• The goal is to pair 50 kids at each partner school
• WRT is expanding to include 4 additional schools (Audelia Creek, Northrich, Richland, and RISD Academy). The plan is for FUMCR volunteers to support our partner schools and other churches will provide volunteers at the 4 new schools.
